You can use the free ATUBE video downloader software to download videos from most video-sharing sites including Youtube. ATUBE will not work on copy-protected videos.
When you install ATUBE, be sure to say no to all of the included offers for search engines, toolbars, driver tools, etc. You don't need any of that junk.
Some modern "Smart" TV sets have a USB slot and can play downloaded MP4 format video that is stored on a USB memory stick. However, ATUBE downloads files in WMV format by default. You can manually choose to download MP4 instead. Or you can convert downloaded WMV files to MP4 files using the file converter built into ATUBE.
